How to Get an Accurate Factory Quote Within One Business Day

Short Answer

To request a factory quote, share your cable specification or drawing, quantity, and required delivery date. Send the information you have; engineering can help confirm open points before production. Huawellux targets an initial email response within one business day for sales and RFQ requests. The twelve fields below help define the quotation.

Your quotation reflects the configuration, quantity, and requested services. There is no formal MOQ; higher test levels, special packing, custom labels, or rush scheduling are itemized in the quotation. Lead-time ranges are confirmed in the quotation itself: standard catalog products are typically prepared in 1–7 business days, custom builds in 1–7, with holiday impacts flagged in advance.

What Happens After You Hit Send

RFQs sent to sales@huawellux.com follow these review and quotation steps:

1. Specification intake. Your fields are checked against the product family: connector system, fiber count and mode, length, polish, gender, polarity or port map. If everything is present, the RFQ moves straight to engineering review. If a field is missing, the response asks for exactly that field — nothing is guessed.

2. Engineering review. For custom builds, engineering confirms manufacturability: connector availability, fiber and jacket options, polarity logic, label and packing requirements. This is the same review gate used in OEM/ODM projects, applied to every quotation.

3. Quotation. Pricing is built from the twelve fields — the seven specification inputs plus quantity, schedule, labels, packing, and documents. The quotation states the lead-time range for your specific build, flags any holiday impact, and itemizes the requested extras.

Huawellux targets an initial email response within one business day (Mon–Fri, 9:00–18:00 China Standard Time, UTC+8). The response provides a quotation when the required information is available, or identifies the details to confirm next.

The Twelve Quotation Fields

Seven specification fields define what is built; five commercial fields define how it is priced, scheduled, and delivered. Use the checklist when preparing your request, and identify any open points for review.

Field Specify this Why the factory needs it
Product family Trunk, patch, harness/breakout, or LC/SC patch cord Each family runs on a different build process and test setup
Fiber count 8F/12F/16F/24F for patch builds; 8F/12F for harness builds; 48F/96F/144F for trunks Determines terminations, test points, and material quantity
Fiber mode OS2, OM4, or OM5 Glass type changes material cost and test parameters
Connector system MTP® or MPO per end; branch connectors (e.g., LC) for harnesses Connector availability and termination process differ per system
Polish and gender UPC or APC; male (pinned) or female (unpinned) per end Wrong gender or polish means connectors that cannot mate
Polarity / port map Type A, B, C, or an attached drawing for custom maps Custom maps require engineering review and verification time
Length Total length; branch lengths for harness builds Material quantity and handling time scale with length
Quantity Order quantity; note if repeat or multi-release Setup and calibration costs are spread across the quantity
Delivery schedule Required date or delivery window Determines whether standard or expedited scheduling applies
Labels Label text, sequence rule, and placement — or "standard" Custom labeling is manual work quoted per order
Packing Standard packing, or special requirements (photos, reel, individual bags) Special packing adds handling time and materials
Documents Test reports, packing lists, certificates — or "standard" Every cable is tested; formal reports are prepared per your specification

No MOQ — and What That Means for Pricing

Huawellux has no formal minimum order quantity. Small quantities are welcome and are priced from the same twelve fields as large ones. The unit price on a small order is typically higher — not because of a different price list, but because setup, testing calibration, and documentation are real per-order costs spread across fewer cables.

Higher test levels, special packing, custom labels, or rush scheduling are quoted separately. Huawellux has manufactured fiber cable assemblies since 2012, with about 150 people and four dedicated MTP®/MPO production lines.

Lead Times Confirmed in Your Quotation

Every quotation states the preparation time for your specific build, so you can plan around it:

Standard catalog products: typically prepared in 1–7 business days. Custom builds: typically 1–7 business days depending on quantity and configuration complexity. Large quantities: supported in 1–7 business days by the four-line capacity — a combined throughput of up to 5,000 connector terminations per day, subject to product mix, testing scope, and scheduling.

Samples: typically prepared in 1–7 business days, with the sample fee deductible from your bulk order — the sample is the first article of your production run, so its tooling and test setup are reused, not charged twice.

During major Chinese holidays such as Chinese New Year, preparation times may extend. The quotation flags this in advance so you can order ahead — the delay is communicated before you commit, not discovered at the shipping stage.

Quick Decision Checklist

Before sending your RFQ, run through this list. Every checked box moves your quotation closer to the first response.

Check Question If not yet
Specification Are all seven spec fields decided (family, count, mode, connectors, polish/gender, polarity, length)? Send the details you know and ask engineering to review the open points
Drawing / BOM For custom builds, is a drawing or BOM attached? A BOM with the seven fields plus label/packing notes is enough to start
Quantity & schedule Is the quantity and required date stated? Even a target window lets the factory confirm feasibility in the quotation
Test scope Are formal test reports required, and at what level? Standard testing (end-face, IL, RL, polarity, continuity) applies; 3D geometry inspection is available on request for compatible builds
Labels & packing Standard, or project-specific? State "standard" or describe the project-specific requirements
Sample first? Should a sample be built before volume? Samples take 1–7 business days; the fee is deductible from the bulk order

What to Confirm Before Ordering

For any factory quotation: the twelve fields above, the lead-time range stated in the quotation, whether a sample is needed before volume, and what documents must ship with the order. For repeat orders: reference the previous quotation or PO so the same build traveler, test scope, and label format are reused without re-quoting from scratch. Anything not yet decided is confirmed in your quotation — that written record is what production builds against.

Worked Examples

Initial inquiry: "Need MPO cable quote, 200 pcs, ASAP."

Example with specifications: "RFQ: MTP®/MPO trunk cable, 96F OM4, MTP female both ends, UPC, 15 m, Type B polarity, quantity 200, delivery needed by end of November. Labels by rack sequence, standard packing, IL/RL test reports required. Please confirm preparation time and whether a sample is recommended before volume."

The second request gives engineering the cable specification, quantity, schedule, and requested services for review and quotation.

Common Questions

Is the one-business-day response a quotation or just an acknowledgment? The target is a substantive first response within one business day: a quotation when your RFQ is complete, or a precise list of the missing fields when it is not. Either way, you know exactly where your request stands.

Is there a minimum order quantity? There is no formal MOQ. Small quantities carry higher per-unit cost because setup, testing calibration, and documentation are spread across fewer cables — the quotation shows this openly rather than hiding it behind a minimum.

What if my specification is not finished yet? Send what you have. Engineering can recommend the undecided fields — connector gender for your panels, polarity for your route — and the quotation will show the assumptions so you can confirm them. Flag the details you would like engineering to confirm.

How are rush orders handled? State your required date in the RFQ. If expedited scheduling is needed, its price and timing are confirmed in writing before production begins.

Do I get test reports with my quotation's pricing? Every cable passes end-face inspection and optical testing (insertion loss, return loss, polarity, continuity), with 3D ferrule-geometry inspection available on request for compatible connector builds. Formal test reports are prepared per your specification — state the report scope in your RFQ so it is priced into the quotation.

What happens during Chinese holidays? The factory observes major Chinese holidays such as Chinese New Year, and preparation times may extend. Your quotation flags this in advance so you can plan and order ahead.
